The interior of the battery pack consists of multiple battery modules made up of a single battery cell. This structure requires a circuit protection layer. At the module level, battery modules and cables should be protected from damage, overcurrent, and overload between power induction lines. Electronic devices should be protected against voltage transients, and CAN and other communication buses should be protected against ESD and voltage transients.
